The Department of Education provides funding for basic needs. We must look to our friends in the community, however, to raise resources for the special features—computers, a forensics lab, library books, college trips, a mock courtroom—that make SLJ unique, and that will help our students excel. Because all of our administration is paid for by the Department of Education, every dollar given goes directly to a service or supply for one of our students.

ASF Jr. Board fundraiser

Join us at the first ASF Jr. Board fundraiser at the Brooklyn Brewery on June 14th. All of the event ticket sales goes towards the Urban Assembly School for Law and Justice to help the graduating class apply to college.
There will be some great people in attendance at this fundraiser event, including comedian and New York Times bestselling author Baratunde Thurston. There will also be some fun perks at the different ticket giving levels which include an open bar, a tour of the Brooklyn Brewery, Questlove tickets and much more. Please join me for an exclusive night of great local beer, food, comedy and music at the world famous BrooklynBrewery — and all for a terrific cause!
